  • About us!

    SKY @ OSU is a student organization at The Ohio State University that empowers tomorrow’s leaders with tools to build confidence, clarity of mind, social connection, and mindfulness. Our group's primary goal is to promote mental wellness by introducing yoga and meditation as a healthier way to manage stress. We aim to empower students to develop and maintain a relaxed, stress-free mind along with an energetic, healthy body so that we all achieve more and better as an individual and as a community.


    Meet our Team

    Nealofar Madani


    Nealofar is a senior undergraduate student at OSU studying Public Health Sociology with a minor in pharmaceutical sciences. She is what Iranians call the ultimate shekamoo (foodie).

    A fire was ignited in her to spread meditation to others when she noticed the profound impact it had on her own life. She was able to be her most natural (happy) and authentic self! She realized that with a calm and relaxed mind, all answers come automatically and that is a gift!

    Sanjana Rajan

    Vice President

    Sanjana is graduate professional student in the Molecular and Cellular Biology program at OSU. She is passionate, caring, enjoys connecting with people and has a vision to create a warm and loving community for everyone at OSU. In her downtime you’ll find her singing or running experiments in the kitchen. She found the SKY community in the first year of graduate school and wants to share this message with her fellow buckeyes - "If we can find ways to manage our minds, we can stay happy irrespective of what is thrown at us."

    Mohit Kumar Jangid


    An international student from India, Mohit, is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Security at Ohio State University Columbus. He loves to explore the art of everything (Science, Music, Sports, etc). He wonders if there are things without an aspect of art in them or are just boring. Recently, he found out that “being bored” is like a lonely dark tunnel, where if one takes the courage to keep going, one may find another new world on the other end. “Wait, what? What does that mean?” you may ask. “Maybe being bored is an art of being with one-self!” he chuckles.

    Health and wellness are more than the mere absence of illness. To be well is to thrive physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Evidence suggests increased health, vitality, and well-being, reported by tens of thousands of SKY meditation practitioners, which are consistent with empirical research findings. Over 70 independent studies conducted on four continents and published in peer-reviewed journals, have demonstrated a comprehensive range of benefits from SKY practice.

    SKY meditation uses cyclical, rhythmic patterns of breath to bring the mind and body into a relaxed state, leading a meditative state to arise. Its effects have been studied in open and randomized trials, both in healthy populations and in populations with psychopathology.

    SKY Campus Happiness Program

    Get to know our nationwide impact

    The SKY Campus Happiness Program offers SKY retreats in more than 50 campuses across the US, enabling students to be leaders and spread happiness in their community. Students learn to meditate from trained facilitators and gain valuable life skills that are frequently missed in academic curricula.

    The International Association of Human Values (IAHV) is the parent organisation of SKY that offers programs in more than 15 countries for students, veterans, prisoners, refugees with a mission to reduce stress and develop leaders so that human values can flourish in people and communities.
